Get set for a sizzling summer as Love Island returns for Series 2 (fourth series in the franchise overall)
Pulses will be racing and hearts will be pounding as last summer’s biggest TV talking point, Love Island, returns to ITV2 later this year.
The ultimate game of love is hotter and sexier than ever before, as a new group of stunning singles jet off to a sun kissed paradise ready for the summer of their lives. And, if the previous Love Islanders’ exploits are anything to go by, the luxury villa promises to be a hot bed of shameless flirting, secret hook ups and scandalous revelations.
The Love Islanders will be in a race against time to couple up, as anyone that stays single will, once again, be in danger of leaving the villa and the lucrative cash prize behind.
Guaranteed to send the Love Islanders’ temperatures soaring, new features in the villa to look out for include an outdoor gym, the perfect showcase for toned torsos and buff beach bodies. There will also be a re-designed Love Shack, where couples can escape for some one-on-one time, and this year the public will have an even bigger hand in making and breaking the villa couples.
The audience at home will use the brand new App to choose which new singles should enter the villa and shake things up, which Islanders to send home, and who ultimately wins the prize – but will true love shine through, or are they just playing a game to win the cash?
Host Caroline Flack will return to introduce viewers to this year’s Love Islanders and funny man, Iain Stirling, will be back to add his dry musings on all the events taking place in the villa.
Producers are now on the look out for applicants who are looking for a summer of love and lust, with all budding Love Islanders invited to apply at itv.com/loveisland.
Caroline Flack said “There’s no better day than Valentines to announce the return of Love Island! I’m super excited to host series two and start watching all those ridiculously hot people get it on! It’s going be a long hot summer…”
ITV’s Director of Digital and Acquisitions Angela Jain said “Love Island was a summer highlight. Spiders, trains and unicorns all loomed large, what antics and surprises will this next series bring we will have to wait and see?”
ITV Studios’ Creative Director, Entertainment, Richard Cowles said “Last summer Love Island came to ITV2 with a bang. This year, a brand new cast of singles will take residence in our amazing villa to play TV’s hottest game of love. Love or Money? Whichever wins through, it’s guaranteed to be another sizzling summer on Love Island.”
