Good Girls Revolt was cancelled after one season at Amazon, but Season 2 renewal was always a no-go.
In an interview with The New York Times, creator Dana Calvo claims recently departed Amazon Studios chief Roy Price never even watched the period drama prior to its cancellation:
“He confirmed that by having us refer to the characters by the actresses’ names,” she said. “He was unfamiliar.”
Still, she was surprised to learn — the very next day — that it would not be picked up for a second season. “It didn’t line up. It was confusing. It just didn’t make sense,” she said.

Following accusations of sexual harassment, Price was suspended and later resigned from Amazon Studios on Oct. 17.
In the wake of Price’s departure, Lynn Povich, author of the book on which the sexual discrimination series is based, believes a Good Girls Revolt revival has never been more relevant:
