Young Drunk Punk has been cancelled after one season by City and CBC.
Despite handing out a raft of renewals for 2016-17, a CBC spokesperson confirms the Calgary-shot series will not return Season 2, per Calgary Herald:
The show, which got its start on City and then ran as part of the CBC’s fall schedule, was a Calgary-set comedy set in 1980 and based on McCulloch’s memories of his post-high school years in the city.
While it received good reviews, and seven nominations this year at the Canadian Screen Awards, it struggled to find an audience on both City and the CBC.
RIP.
