Are there any plans, though, to bring this show to another network or get it another season somewhere else?
PLAGEMAN: We’re not in any discussions right now about that, but let’s just put it this way: Never say never. The version of this show that we have has more story that we could tell, but I think that by the end of this season, viewers will be very satisfied… This is the concentrated version [of the show] now, and there are episodes twice a week. I think our fans may need to put on their seat belts.

POI may be cancelled after Season 5, but we’ll monitor the graveyard in case the show is ever revived…

PLEASE don’t kill off the stars !! At least give us the hope that they will be back to fight another day !!

CBS always does this. TV Shows that are great, they cancelled it, TV Shows that are boring like Hawaii, Elementary, NCIS always continued to unknown seasons. Sometimes I will even skip CBS shows so that I wont be disappointed.

More POI. The topic seems more timely that ever!

While POI being cancelled is bad enough, CSI Cyber is also being dropped. CBS got a thing about high tech who dunnit programs??
DOMINIQUE PERKINS says
Perhaps CBS should keep POI going, gratuitous violence aside , even with less revenue as a good will gesture to all of us who are intrigued by the possibilities technology has brought us.

Let’s see what they do in the series finale of Person of Interest, before talking about bringing it back like Futurama or Unforgettable. If they kill off everyone,I don’t want to see a rebooted program with a brand new group of actors. The producers say the finale will Not have a happy ending. If it ends badly with Samaritan still in charge, or the good guys stop it at the expense of their lives, I don’t want it see it continue. I certainly hope that Person of Interest will get nominated for, and win some Emmys, which it has earned.

I truly enjoy this show, have never missed a single episode but read recently the reason it was being cancelled by CBS was it was a money break even due to the ownership of the show by Warner, they make the profits.
Hopefully the show will be picked up by USA, CW, Netflix or another as I will follow it where ever it ends up.

Yup, all about the money. CBS is a business, i get it. POI was about the only show I watch on the network other than the morning news. Scorpion (probably one of the DUMBEST shows on TV) gets renewed, along with all the reality junk… amazing. Tired old CSI finally dead, but still the NCIS and Criminal Minds franchises somehow survive. These shows have long outlived their entertainment value, and yet they expand these stale shows with spinoffs. POI’s premise alone was unique and interesting enough to keep the show going….

This is one the best shows that has been aired. My question is what is the real reason that this show is being canceled?
Patricia says
I agree with all who have called this one the best shows on TV right now. The premise for the show is unique and timely. I find it immensely entertaining as well as thought provoking.
I’m absolutely disgusted with most of the reality drivel that seems to be the mainstay currently.
I guess it does all come down to money in the end but if TV keeps heading towards being a mere idiot box it will end up losing add space for anyone with an IQ over 20.

I will miss this show-the only one I HAD to watch-
