Of Coiurse the show will be cancelled too soon. A new improved computer must now be re built that can outsmart the other computers trying to take over. This can’t be done in one season.
the show was perfect when it was just “the man in the suit” saving unknown people. they destroyed the show when they demoted Reese and the machine and brought in the lesbian love affair. the ratings hit bottom nobody wanted to see that. the show was built on reese saving people with the help of an unknown machine. Reese should have his own show like a modern day “Magnum” or “Mike Hammer” or a modern day “Have Gun will travel.” He doesn’t need a lot of supporting cast.
Have been watching since it started, I can understand the cast add ones. Trying new people in different plots. Growing pains trying to find ‘s nitch. Sometimes you can over think or over kill. Finch, John even Root were great. Sameen was great. Then it became over kill…. I don’t care who is in love with who… It just got away from them…. I am sad it leaving… I truly enjoyed it…
One of the best and most intriguing shows written. I would hope it would continue expand the scope of their numbers I have been a loyal follower and I share watching with my daughter
I love this series. It is a morality play each week asking the viewer to think about what the future might be like if we are not aware of the unintended consequences of our actions, creations, medicines, protocols, etc. Truly the creators are visionaries like Star Trek’s Gene Rodenberry…high praise, I know….but this is sci-fi at a philosophical level which is what I enjoy. Networks seem to judge too quickly and pull the cord just when the plots, subplots, character growth are really getting profound. Networks think short-term…and really don’t honor the fans and the fans need for appropriate closure to a series. A series loses a few viewers and the Network pulls the plug….very short-sighted on the part of these Networks. They keep shows that dummy down the viewers and cancel shows that make viewers think.
My wife and I are very dissapointed to hear about the series being cancelled. At least we will still have The Blacklist. The world won’t be the same without Mr. Reese and the moral intellectual nerd, Finch. Its fun to see the amoral Miss Groves evolve into doing the right thing. We will miss them all… Thank you for such an enjoyable show for 5 seasons.
Yes, Person of Interest was cancelled much too soon, especially since the ratings, (for the Warner Brothers owned show), are better than Limitless, (the CBS owned program), which took over the Tuesday night 10 PM time slot. Big mistake on behalf of CBS. Almost as bad as their decision to bounce Frank’s Place, (with Tim and Daphne Reid), all over the schedule and then claim it was cancelled due to poor ratings. The viewers are there for the show, months after the previous episode aired in May 2015, and knowing it’s the final season for the program. CBS should give a after the last minute uncancellation renewal to Person of Interest, similar to Unforgettable a few years ago. It did win the CBS aired People’s Choice Award for Favorite crime drama. Excellent show, with wonderful acting, and intelligent scripts. Person of Interest is extremely well made, and it looks as though the budget is not that expensive, filmed mostly in NYC.
I was so very disappointed that POI was cancelled. Caviezel played Reese like no one else could. It is a shame that CBS could not see the popularity of this show. There will never be another one like it. Truly was at the top of my list for viewing. Now, I will just watch POI reruns rather than any “replacements” CBS might offer.
