Chicago Fire Season 7 has taken an early step forward. Co-EP Michael Gilvary has signed an overall deal with Universal TV, the studio behind the NBC firefighter drama series, Deadline confirms.
Under the two-year pact, Gilvary will continue to serve as co-executive producer on the upcoming sixth season of the NBC series, with Universal TV president Pearlena Igbokwe already making noises about a potential seventh season:
“It gives us great pleasure and comfort to know that Mike will continue to be a key part of the success of Chicago Fire for many more seasons to come.”
Chicago Fire Season 6 premieres this fall on NBC.
