The end is near for Veep. The political comedy is renewed for Season 7, but showrunner David Mandel admits that it could also be the last in the series, with the end game now on the horizon, per TVLine:
TVLINE | Selina’s running for president again, which brings everything full circle. Are you writing towards an end?
It’s something we’re going to be talking about very soon. We’re starting to think about an end game because, like anything else, we want to go out our way. We’re going to figure it out and hopefully announce something officially.TVLINE | So next season could potentially be the last?
I don’t want to go there. We need to sit down and figure out of if there are three more seasons, two more seasons, one more season… Everything is still on the table.
Will Veep end with Season 7 or could it extend into Season 8, 9 or even 10? Will Veep end on its ‘own terms’ as Mandel hopes, or will it be caught by the cancellation reaper? Many questions remains – stay tuned as we continually monitor the survival status of Veep…
