Problem is networks don’t know how to write a black show. I’m GUESSING most of the writers for this show were white… so they either make the families either kind of stereotypical 1980s, almost but not quite racist, or they over compensate by making the family just pretentious and unrealistic. Uncle Buck was an interesting mix of the two… Buck being the former and the rest of the family being the latter. Families just do not work that way…. perhaps the rich kids in Hollywood fail to realize that.

Regardless the show was hilarious and the characters brought the scene’s to life. You can say the craziest thing ever but if you deliver it correctly it works. I feel that’s what the characters did and the show worked. I feel the network wanted to show us who’s in charge and had no intentions in keeping the show on the air from the beginning. That’s pretty obvious bc the show had a record amount of viewers and excellent ratings. This is the goal for any tv show so why take it off the air. The only other reason I can think of is some IDIOT with money said they wanted it off and we live in America so of course money talks and its gone. That’s ok bc these actors are talented and they will have many other opportunities …

We really liked the show I am disappointed that it is already being cancelled…….. when ever there is a nice family show it is cancelled what does the color of the skin matter the most important thing should be what the show represents…….
