Truth Be Told was quietly cancelled a month ago, but NBC can no longer hide it from the masses now that series star Tone Bell has been cast on CW’s The Flash.
As Variety reports:
Variety can exclusively reveal that comedian Tone Bell will join “The Flash” for a multi-episode arc in the back half of the superhero show’s sophomore season. He’ll play Scott Evans, the brash new editorat Central City Picture News. Devoted to hard journalism, Evans will push Iris (Candice Patton) and all his reporters to dig deeper into their stories and report the truth about what’s really happening in Central City.
With the likes of FOX changing its mind on Wayward Pines, cancellation doesn’t always mean perma-death for shows, but Truth Be Told never caught fire and is unlikely to slip from the Cancellation Reaper’s grasp.
