Reportedly set for Season 2, but not yet confirmed, The Night Manager has received a further renewal boost with Amazon acquiring US streaming rights to the acclaimed BBC/AMC series, per Deadline:
Amazon Prime Video will be the exclusive subscription streaming service for AMC & the BBC’s acclaimed miniseries The Night Manager in the U.S., The United Kingdom, and Japan, the company has announced. Beginning later in 2016, all six episodes of the series will stream as part of Amazon Prime and Prime Video subscriptions for customers in the U.S. and Britain, and exclusively on Prime Video in Japan.
We’re focused on providing our customers with compelling, must-see series that raise the bar for entertainment,” said Brad Beale, Vice President of Digital Video Content Acquisition for Amazon. “Prime members love having access to gripping, distinctive series like Orphan Black, The Americans and Downton Abbey, and we’re thrilled to announce that The Night Manager will be added to the collection of binge-worthy TV available on Prime Video later this year.”
The Amazon deal further expands Night Manager‘s reach and revenue, placing more ‘pressure‘ on the creators to continue the well-received drama.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the official status of The Night Manager…
