Stranger Things endeared its way to an early Season 2 renewal from Netflix, but based on the show’s viewing figures, a third season could already be a shoe-in.
Per Digital Spy, a new report suggests the period sci-fi drama’s early ‘ratings’ are better than hits Daredevil, Jessica Jones, House of Cards, Narcos and Making A Murder:
Netflix are notoriously cagey about releasing viewing figures, but a new estimate suggests that the sci-fi thriller is right up there with the service’s biggest hitters.
SymphonyAM reports (via Business Insider) that 8.2 million people watched Stranger Things in the first 16 days of it being released.
That means it had more viewers than Daredevil, Jessica Jones, House of Cards and Narcos managed in their first 16 days.
Much will depend on how Stranger Things Season 2 performs, but it’s good news for now.
WILL there be Stranger Things Season 3? Stay tuned to find out…
