ABC has handed out a flurry of early renewals for its shows returning for the 2016-17 season.
The complete list of ABC shows renewed today include America’s Funniest Home Videos (Season 27), The Bachelor (Season 21), Black-ish, (Season 3), Dancing with the Stars (Season 23), Fresh Off the Boat (Season 3), The Goldbergs (Season 4), Grey’s Anatomy (Season 13), How to Get Away with Murder (Season 3), Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 4), The Middle (Season 8), Modern Family (Season 8), Once Upon A Time (Season 6), Scandal (Season 6), Shark Tank (Season 8) and Quantico (Season 2).
However, the renewal gods’ kindness only extends so far, leaving the following ABC series to sweat it out in limbo before officially discovering their fate: The Muppets, Castle, Nashville, Dr. Ken, Last Man Standing, Galavant and American Crime.
As previously reported, Agent Carter is ‘likely’ cancelled, though there’s still a small chance it could yet return for Season 3.
As we’ve known for months, Wicked City is dead, as is Blood and Oil — both meeting the Cancellation Reaper’s scythe after low-rated first seasons.

Julie West says
OMG, American Crime is one of the best written shows on TV. A perfect example that network TV can be just as gripping and controversial, etc. as cable. PLEASE renew this series. It is phenomenal and pushes the gammit…that’s what we need more of!!!
Just a critic says
I agree American Crime has some of the most talented actors, well written, riveting and leaves the audience each week with something profound to think about!
Julie says
Last Man Standing is funny, and does provide good social and political commentary that reflects today’s day. That is welcome dialogue, whether or not you agree with the character. I enjoy this show.
Wally says
OMG THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TV. YOU BETTER NOT TAKE THIS SHOW OFF. IT’S ONE OF THE ONLY SHOWS I WATCH. JUST LIKE JULIE SAID IT HAS VERY GOOD POLITICAL COMMENTARY WHICH REFLECTS TODAY’S POLITICAL RACE. IT’S VERY FUNNY AND SMARTLY WRITTEN.
Phyllis Martin says
How can you not renew Nashville it was off more than it was on. How can you get ratings when it is off so much. Everyone loves Nashville . What a mistake to cut it!
Michael Hewitt says
The ONLY reason Last man standing would be cancelled would be because it features a conservative man television! Tim Allen has another major hit on his hands and should have been picked up immediately! If ABC cancels LMS my family will boycott their channel for good. Lots of other great channels to watch instead.
Wally says
Michael you are exactly right ABC is a very Dem.. station that’s way they don’t like it. It is one of the most cleverly written shows on TV today. Please don’t take it off the air. That would be a big mistake.
Another Poster says
Last Man Standing is usually a last minute renewal, because of contract talks.
Last Man Standing has about a 95 – 99% chance of renewal.
There are no rumors, no leaks to the internet, no leaks to the press. It does well for Friday, and ABC has got plenty of problems elsewhere, especially Tuesday night 10 PM since they cancelled Body of Proof and Forever.
I really doubt if Last Man Standing, the comedy show that gives good advice on how to live better, that would help everyone who listens to what the program has to say, is probably going to get renewed.
Another Poster says
Last sentence should have read; I really doubt if Last Man Standing is going to be cancelled. It’s probably going to get renewed. It would surprise a lot of people if it did get cancelled.
Just a critic says
I like Nashville, and I’m not really a country music enthusiast! I do however like the characters and I think there’s much more depth to explore!!
cherie derby says
Please keep Castle on the air..Its the only decent murder show on the air..it’s cute, funny, serious, and all without being nasty…Please please please keep Castle
Julia says
Please CANCEL Castle. It would be to paintful to watch Kate dying
