REVOLUTION DIGITAL COMIC BOOK TO DEBUT IN MAY
FROM WARNER BROS. TELEVISION AND DC COMICS
Four Separate Chapters Will Resolve Series Storylines
For Fans Beginning May 4th
BURBANK, CA (April 15, 2015) — Fans of the Warner Bros. Television series Revolution, which ended a two-year run on NBC in May 2014, are going to get a resolution to the show’s storylines that were left open-ended in the final broadcast episode.
In response to passionate fan efforts to revive the show, the entire creative team behind the series — including executive producers Eric Kripke, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, Rockne S. O’Bannon and Jon Favreau — regrouped to create a special four-chapter digital comic book with DC Comics that will serve to continue and ultimately resolve the adventures last seen in Revolution’s second season finale.
Revolution writers David Reed and Ryan Parrott handled the writing duties of the digital comic’s four chapters, after breaking the story in the writers’ room along with the rest of the Revolution creative team, which included Kripke, O’Bannon, Paul Grellong, David Rambo, Trey Callaway, Anne Cofell Saunders, Ben Edlund, Matt Pitts and Jim Barnes. A photo of the team at work on the digital comic, along with a special guest who fans will recognize, can be seen here.
Illustrated by DC Comics’ artist Angel Hernandez, each of the four separate digital chapters will also have a specially designed cover, and will roll out every two weeks beginning Monday, May 4. A sneak peek at three of the illustrated Revolution characters — Charlie Matheson, Miles Matheson and Sebastian Monroe — can be seen here.
The four chapters will each be debuting exclusively on www.ComicBook.com for one week before being made available for viewing on Revolution’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Revolution. Fans can also use the #RevolutionComic hashtag on Twitter to find out more information about the digital comic.
Here is the rollout schedule for each chapter on www.ComicBook.com:
Chapter 1 – Monday, May 4
Chapter 2 – Monday, May 18
Chapter 3 – Monday, June 1
Chapter 4 – Monday, June 15
Revolution creator/executive producer Eric Kripke had this message for fans regarding the digital comic:April 15, 2015
Dear Revolutionaries, Patriots, and Soldiers of the Monroe Militia,
So first of all—thank you. Seriously. Sincerely. The loyalty you’ve shown REVOLUTION these past months has been touching and overwhelming—it’s meant more to me than you’ll ever know. And in case you were wondering—yes, we’ve been listening. We’ve read the tweets. We’ve seen the incredible petition. We’ve followed #RelocateRevolution. Please know that you’ve been heard.
And solely because of your efforts, we wanted to pay you back—to give you something fantastic. And while, unfortunately, we simply can’t make more episodes of the show (alas, there are financial realities we can’t overcome), we can do the next best thing. Which is end the story. On our terms. Exactly the way we would have.
So J.J., Jon and I are pleased and proud to announce the REVOLUTION endgame: a four-issue series coming soon from DC Comics. If you take a look at the attached photo, you’ll see that we brought back the entire writing staff to work on it. The band’s back together! (And if you study the photo closely, you’ll notice a certain young, plucky Matheson who also joined us). Everyone has generously agreed to work for little or no money. They’re doing it, because like you, they’re passionate about this story and want to see it end correctly.
So stay tuned. We’ve got lots of work to do. We’ll keep you posted—in the coming months, you can expect more details, sneak peeks, and early artwork. But Miles, Monroe, Rachel, Charlie, Aaron, Neville and the rest will return for the epic finale to the REVOLUTION storyline. We hope you’re as excited as we are.
And again—thank you. This is because of you. This is for you.
Much love,
Kripke

I am not interested in a comic. How about streaming with the actual people. What a joke.

Whow. I was looking for a renewal of this extraordinary show many times.
Now I finaly did find a lead here on this website about a comic version and about, you will do the next best thing. Which is end the story. On your terms. Exactly the way you would have…!
This is pretty amazing and I appreciate the passion and commitment to the issue and the story
you still are using now. Awesome! This is why this story is so extra ordinary.
Animation is not the coolest I know, but the intention is really outstanding. I will find out what you guys
did and perhaps it will change my opinion.
For me as MasterTrainer in Psychology in Europe – so many totally worthless shows representing nothing else then destruction and lies and corruption and jalousie and the director knows very little about the human mind, in all kind of pressured situations. The Actors in most series are often talking and acting like they driving a car in first gear and speeding up to maximum, all the time. Changing to 3th. 4th. or 5th. gear does give us a quiet engine and a higher and more balanced speed. Revolution
did this elegantly.
‘Revolution’ tells us also a real and possible outcome in our future – not exactly the way
it will be, but the human struggle about getting rich – fast, getting power – fast, beeng seen by everyone, and being best an most famous – all 7 billion people at the same time … leads us rapidly
into exactly this situation. Count all the Warlords around the globe in this moment and their motives….
A few movies did show us some of the same outcomes with variations:
If anybody does remember ‘The Postman’ or ‘Mad Max 2’ or ‘Waterworld’ or ‘Solarbabies (1986)’ They did all show us highly protected towns and clusters of starving and fighting people. This is already happen in several african/arabic/asian countries, where the war did create pockets of survivors and they fight for food and dignity, after civil war. There are coming soldiers from the west, others from the east, from the north and from the south and all of them are steeling food, raping and taking all they can find.
They punishing people, for helping the enemies of this guys and for not helping them. And the next soldiers come into the town and are again punishing for the same reason …. And endless horror – here in 2015 – in real time.
We see already protected tows in countries like Spain, South Africa, in Florida – with guards and high walls. And this is just the very beginning. ISIS is not stopping – and when they do, there are always some more brutal groups behind, waiting fro their chance… And soldiers and police forces can be very brutal too in several regions. When this is happen, over time things like in revolution will happen automatically. But we react instinctively – when we do not know other ways and nobody did show us a better way. This is why this kind of show’s and movies are so important. It can show us a possible path and something about humanity, in a brutal reality.
And why is this kind of movies more important then all the very dramatic crime series, all the jalousie dramas, all the SciFi about aliens and about beating monsters and all the bloody vampire stories and family dramas?
Because we are not prepared what to do, when our water is in the hand of a few like Nestlé and in more and more try periods, perhaps soon most of us are getting real slaves – working day and night without pay, just to getting some water every day. California is on its way…
When we grow up we do use all the adults as role-models and we are developing strategies out of this we see and hear and feel. Shows like ‘Revolution’ can show us, how we can survive with good role models, not only monsters and lots of fear and drama. we need models who actually can show us a path and holding up the light.
It is much more relevant then all the worthless murder and police games and intrigues and corruption.
Whether the murder of somebody in a english town is the Gardner, or the Pub-owner or anybody else, don’t give us anything at all, but steeling our valuable time and our life. All the intrigues in school and nasty habits of classmates often just gives ideas to our kids and showing how stupid parents are, gives nobody the slightest clue about what good strategies we can use when we come in similar situations in our lifetime.
But in Revolution we saw for first time a journey of a group of people, visiting the different towns and what was left over of our society . The organization into a new system and all the possible outcomes and new constellations are so essential in this more and more restless times.
So lets hope there are coming new show’s with some kind of clue, what it means to be a human – not just the dark sites of our mind – and only to get a little distraction in our gray everyday life – here and now – on our bud in front of a 60″ screen and a can of beer or some wine. Whilst everything is still quiet in our countries and the war is somewhere else – where people fighting for their life every single day – right now. We could be next and then we will experience, we did wast our time with worthless crap on TV…. and did learn nothing but being suspicious to everybody and everyone.
I hope the creative team behind the series — including executive producers Eric Kripke, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, Rockne S. O’Bannon and Jon Favreau — Revolution writers David Reed and Ryan Parrott, Paul Grellong, David Rambo, Trey Callaway, Anne Cofell Saunders, Ben Edlund, Matt Pitts and Jim Barnes do read this one day and do create something new – or a new way to finance the next shows.
Perhaps you guys do create something even more astonishing – new kind of distributions and financing, so people around the world can buy directly – it is important for us and our kids.
Keep up the good spirit!

It’s not perfect but it’s a lot more than anyone else would do for their fans that’s for sure. Thank you for making the effort for us to be able to have closure and not leaving us in limbo. I loved this show. I can’t believe it was cancelled in the first place especially when you consider all of the very ridiculous shows that stay on year after year like Big Brother and Survivor. What a bunch of garbage !
