Danny Masterson has hit back at Netflix following his axing from The Ranch in the wake of sexual assault allegations.
In a statement, the actor expressed ‘disappointment’ at the streaming company’s decision to fire him and denied all allegations of rape, per Huff Post:
“I am obviously very disappointed in Netflix’s decision to write my character off of ‘The Ranch.’ From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me. I have never been charged with a crime, let alone convicted of one.”
The statement continued:
“In this country, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in the current climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused. I understand and look forward to clearing my name once and for all.”
The Ranch Season 2B releases December 15, 2017, with the two-batch third season still on course for a 2018 release. Masterson will appear in 9 of the 20 Season 3 episodes already filmed.
Netflix has yet to publicly cancel or renew The Ranch for Season 4. Stay tuned as the status develops…
