The CW has finalized its series pickups with six orders and the three that didn’t make the cut include The 4400 reboot, The L.A. Complex, and Good Christian Bitches. Each show for their own different reasons, were not picked up for series in this season, but have been rolled into next season for possible pickup. This is the same thing that happened with Charmed in 2017, which didn’t spell disaster for it as it was picked up and recently renewed for a second season.
The problems with The 4400 reboot appear to be related to a script not being able to be finished and delivered on time as the writers and executive producers were working on CBS’s The Code and Blood & Treasure.
The L.A. Complex was apparently rolled because of limited resources and it being at the bottom of the list.
Finally, Good Christian Bitches is looking to go back to the proverbial drawing board and see if they can spin the book from Kim Gatlin into a slightly different series.
