Person Of Interest Cancelled – No Season 6
DEADLINE: You didn’t originally know Season 5 was going to be the final season. When did you start planning it as a final chapter?
NOLAN: I think we felt going into the season that we would plan the season as our last. There was still an ongoing conversation with CBS who were reluctant to talk about it in those terms. So we felt like we had an obligation to ourselves and the story and the fans to design a season that could be our last. The conversation with the network was just ensuring that we still had a fair number of episodes that were stand-alone. I think Greg and Denise Thé, the other executive producer this year, and the rest of the staff had a fantastic way of blending that approach while still hurdling towards a conclusion. I wish we had more episodes to tell that story, but I’m very proud of the episodes that we made.

EMERSON: I think people always expect me to be broken up about things coming to an end, but we were so tired in December, I couldn’t even have imagined coming back after the new year and shooting more.

Why can’t another network pick up Person Of Interest. There are many people disappointed that this show is gone.

I hope who ever is in charge would really consider bringing POI back. This is not fair to the fans, I’m sure you can come up with a better decision than a cancellation! Anything great is worth fighting for.

Spoiler Alert. After the series finale of Tuesday, June 28; I am not interested in seeing the series brought back. It was one of the best series finales of all time, and I think they said all they needed to be said. Bringing back Person of Interest would be like After Mash, which followed Mash.
They wrapped up everything in the finale and bringing it back would just not add anything new or entertaining.
I hated it when CBS cancelled it, because they did not own it; however, since it was cancelled and the excellent series finale has aired; Let it go. Rest in Piece. It’s done.Finished.

Real classy reply Sam.
Name another show that came back after an excellent series finale that brought the show to a satisfying conclusion and was worth watching.
Almost everyone loved the series finale and thought it was one of the best ever made in the history of television.
What would bringing back Person of Interest add to the show? What could they say in another program that they did not say on Tuesday June 21?
If CBS had not cancelled it, Person of Interest could have lasted two or more years. CBS did cancel it, and they wrapped up the program in an excellent finale, as promised by the producers of the show.
The chances of bringing back the show that horribly treated by CBS, (since they did not own it), are mostly a dream for people who can not accept the fact that, (like it or not), it’s over.
Many people have written they would like Person of Interest to return, yet, they (like you), have not given a good reason why bringing it back would add anything worth watching to the show.
Person of Interest was one of my favorite shows on TV, when it was on. I defended it again and again, when it was attacked for the Root/Shaw love story.
There is no real reason to bring it back.

Where ours may be a minority opinion among avid fans of the series, totally agree & was very satisfied with the finale.
Will have to watch the entire series in re-runs
