BBC One has cancelled Agatha Christie spy drama Partners In Crime after one series, The Radio Times reports.
The series is thought to have been axed due to a range of “complicated and varied” reasons, from series star David Walliams’ busy schedule” to a feeling “in some quarters at the BBC that it didn’t quite connect with audiences – 2 million of whom deserted the drama by the end of the six-part series after an overnight rating of 6.5m for the opening episode.”
RIP.

This is a shame as I thought the main pair really caught the essence of Tommy and Tuppence. The direction was rather poor with some very bad editing – examples in N or M Tommy walks off down the beach with the sea on his left and in the next shot the sea is on his right. Tuppence is in the tunnel holding a torch when she finds the exit, the next shot, from outside, has her emerging without a torch. Silly things like that are annoying especially when Agatha Christie is so precise in her writing. I did enjoy the show though and am sad to hear it isn’t continuing.

I Adore this show ! Cannot believe it is not being renewed !!!
Excellent acting, great sets, wonderful music… very entertaining and fun.
Agatha would have LOVED these actors and sets bringing her story to life.
BBC needs to revisit this series ASAP.
Thank you for reading my comments.
