Designated Survivor couldn’t survive Netflix’s latest culling.
The streaming giant has cancelled the political thriller after a single season on the service.
Netflix revived Designated Survivor for a third season after it was cancelled by ABC after 2 seasons.
Netflix had the following to say about the cancellation:
“We are proud to have offered fans a third season of ‘Designated Survivor,’ and will continue to carry all three seasons for years to come. We’re especially thankful to star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland, who brought passion, dedication and an unforgettable performance as President Kirkman. We’re also grateful to showrunner/executive producer Neal Bear for his guiding vision and steady hand, creator/executive producer David Guggenheim and EPs Mark Gordon, Suzan Bymel, Simon Kinberg, Aditya Sood and Peter Noah along with the cast and crew who crafted a compelling and satisfying final season.”
RIP.

Let’s bring back Jack Bauer. I think it’s time for some more 24. This was a good show sorry to see it go but let’s get some more of 24.

I think everyone has said everything before. Some are sad but many think the show got politically one sided and that is why it lost enough of it’s audience to doom the show. The loss is several characters, some inexplicably, also hurt and probably was a factor. Too bad. The first season was excellent and the second good and then…..not so much!

Sorry- that is “the loss OF several characters “

I was so excited to get another season of Designated Survivor but after watching 3 episodes I was done. To much trash brought on & ruined a perfectly good show.

Netflix ruined a good show.
It was just fine on tv without all the cussing. I think they just added one more season to shut us up.

I was happy Netflix picked it up for Season 3. But I only watched 2 episodes & was bored to death with all the political crap. I love Kiefer. I agree, I would love if 24 came back but with Jack!

It’s a shame. I did enjoy the show, but I feel it lossed something when it moved to Netflix. It became a little too every for my taste. I’m no prude, but I just didn’t feel all the swearing and sex was necessary to uphold the storyline. It’s ok to leave some things to the imagination.
