It’s official – ITV has cancelled Mr Selfridge. The broadcaster decided not to move forward with Season 5, meaning the upcoming fourth season will be the last in the series.
The end of Mr Selfridge was confirmed by series star Amanda Abbington as production on Season 4 wrapped:
“And so we shut up shop for the very last time. Good night and good luck. Thanks for everything.”
The fourth and final season of Mr Selfridge airs early 2016 in the UK, and March/April 2016 on PBS.

Please, don’t cancel Mr Selfridge! Bring it back as the fifth and final season or make a Christmas special.

Why do these powers to be bring on great programs & POOF you like t well POOF it’s GONE. I now hate watching new programs because if they are good they are really short lived.
Perhaps even a Facebook poll would be a better method to determine if a show should be axed.or not. The system that is in place now is flawed.
Thanks for a great show.

It stands to reason the show would end…it’s a true story! Being as it’s based on Mr. Selfridge ‘s real life story, things shouldn’t be made up. It should follow history somewhat closely. It’s now nearing the point where he loses control of the store and is ousted from the board. ..it’s all downhill from here until his death. He dies in poverty. After this season, it would be depressing and painful to watch. I hope it goes out well.
