UPDATE: it’s now official – FOX has cancelled Minority Report after a single season. Original story below.
—
Bad but not unexpected news for Minority Report. After a rough ratings start, FOX has cut the futuristic thriller’s original 13-episode first season order to 10 episodes.
No more episodes will be ordered beyond the 10 installments, with production to wrap after that.
The news all but predetermines the cancellation of Minority Report, barring a miraculous upturn in fortunes.
Per Deadline:
Fox had scheduled Minority Report for a 10-episode fall run, with the remaining 3 episodes of the original order (and presumably backup episodes) set for later in the season. Episode 10 had been designed as a fall finale, so it will now serve as a season finale (and possibly series finale).

Great concept….TERRIBLE MAIN CHARACTERS!!! IF you got some substantial lead people…it would have been a hit. I honestly looked forward to the show until I actually watched it! Whoever hired the lead actors needs to be fired!

Pity this show was cancelled. It was very good although, the premise may have been one that would not survive a long run and still keep the suspense necessary.

Just curious, but where’s the “official” cancellation? I can’t find anything anywhere about it (and I’ve kept an eye out every day for weeks now).
