Melissa McCarthy has opened up on the cancellation of Mike & Molly.
Taking to Twitter, the actress admitted was “shocked” and “heartbroken” by CBS decision to axe the sitcom.
Continuing, McCarthy said she would have continued in the role for another 50 seasons:
“I was shocked and heartbroken when CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly. I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I’ll miss my 2nd family.”

Mike & Molly officially enters the cancellation graveyard after its upcoming sixth season, premiering January 6, 2016.
