The Middle is fast approaching the end of its run, but what will the last ever episode look like?
Taking to Twitter, co-creator DeAnn Heline shared a glimpse of the ’emotional’ series finale in the form of the ABC sitcom’s final script, stating:
“So… we finished breaking the very last episode of #TheMiddle today. Overwhelmed with emotion. I can’t wait for you all to see it.”

Despite being cancelled, Heline believes the show is going out somewhat on its own terms, per EW:
“It’s always hard to think about ending a show when everything is going so right. But it’s also been nine years and we wanted to feel like we were going out on our own terms.
There will be no Game of Thrones horrible deaths. I think it will be super funny, satisfying, and the right ending for the show.”
Are you looking forward to the final episode of The Middle? Hoping for a future revival?

No, not looking forward to the “Middle” canceling, I have watched it for a long time. Hope they keep the reruns going and have enjoyed it very much. Anyone know if that will be happening? Hoping it will come back like Roseann which I do not enjoy at all. Watch this Middle family grow up, it was fund to see the changes in the cast, grow into adults.

I can’t believe ABC is canceling another great show and one the whole family can watch!!! I’m very disappointed in ABC. It’s no wonder we watch most of our shows on CBS!

Knowing ABC it will not answer any questions or tie up any loose ends. It’ll just suddenly end leaving everyone blinking in disbelief. Then for the next 20 years we’re going to be teased with reboots, specials and other channels picking it up.

THIS show needs to keep going – future of Sue, definitely future of Brick – sad that this is over. Great show, all actors performed to my expectation – a little of true life situations, a ton of comedy, and a lot of love shown on that show. So many more stories to do – so why is this ending?? More violence, talent shows, talking heads, etc. etc. ???

It is just SO sad that this show has been cancelled.
I can’t understand why it was never given good support from ABC and why it was never endorsed for any Emmy nominations over the years. It is FAR better than their much-ballyhooed “Modern Family” series. I watched THAT show for a couple of months and then stopped because it just seemed so STUPID. And it wasn’t all that funny AT ALL.
I had truly looked forward to watching the Heck Family grow and develop over the years because, quite frankly, this family is very much like my OWN family.
I would DEFINITELY continue watching this show if some other network adopted it for their own.
It’s just SO sad and disappointing. Once again ABC has blown it.

And here I thought I was the only one who hated Modern Family and loved The Middle. You said it perfectly Deb.

Just like Last Man Standing, a great family show with fairly conservative values and it’s cancelled. Funny, great acting, sweet storylines…but wait, Patricia Heaton is an outspoken Christian….can’t have that! This show and Once were the only two shows I watched on ABC. So this gives me one last reason to never start watching another show on ABC.
