EXCLUSIVE: CBS has quietly renewed MacGyver for Season 3, slated to premiere fall 2018, insiders have assured RenewCancelTV.
About MacGyver:
MacGyver, a reimagining of the classic series, is an action-adventure drama about 20-something Angus “Mac” MacGyver, who creates a clandestine organization within the U.S. government where he uses his extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving and vast scientific knowledge to save lives. Joining his team on high-risk missions around the globe is maverick former CIA agent Jack Dalton; Riley Davis, an unpredictable computer hacker with a chip on her shoulder; Wilt Bozer, Mac’s roommate and the newest agent on the team; and Matty Weber, a legend in Covert Ops, and the new Director of Operations at the Phoenix Foundation. Under the aegis of the Department of External Services, MacGyver takes on the responsibility of saving the world, armed to the teeth with resourcefulness and little more than bubble gum and a paper clip.
MacGyver joins the likes of TBBT, Young Sheldon, NCIS: NO, S.W.A.T., and Life In Pieces on CBS’ 2018-19 return slate.
Stay tuned as we now monitor the renew/cancel status of MacGyver Season 4…
GPB says
MacGyver…what a joke of a show. Male models plastered with makeup (women too) are not believable characters. The shows a joke and shows the mental maturity, or lack of, of its viewers must be teenage girls.

To GPB
At least 8 million people would disagree. Respect your opinion GPB – unlike you I’m happy to leave my name as I’m not ashamed of my views which are as follows:
I find this show highly entertaining, easy to watch and to be honest a refreshing change from the constant barrage of Reality TV & Melancholy Drama that seems to dominate at the moment. I think the tide is turning again. People need a bit of escapism and personally I find watching a show that explores so many different genres in such a clever way a pleasure.
The storylines are varied with a mixture of fresh material interspersed with concurrently run subplots and the action well balanced with humorous interludes/exchanges.
I agree there is some eye candy in there but as far as I am concerned as long as the acting is on point (which it is) bring it on! Why Not?
I will however accept the compliment of the comparison between myself and a teenage girl albeit backhanded. There is a lot to be said for the teenage ability to enjoy life without being held back by cynicism. An affiction hat has clearly affected your ability to appreciate entertainment for entertainments sake.
