EXCLUSIVE: The CW has quietly cancelled Life Sentence after one season. Per sources, the comedy-drama will not return for Season 2.
Life Sentence follows Stella (Lucy Hale), a girl who has spent the last eight years living like she was dying (because she was). Just like the “manic pixie dream girl” heroines in her favorite sappy cancer movies, Stella traveled the world, faced her darkest fears and found true love on a whirlwind trip to Paris.
But when Stella finds out that her cancer has been cured, she is suddenly forced to face the long-term consequences of the “live in the moment” decisions she made, including marrying a total stranger. And if that’s not enough, she also finds out that her “perfect family” isn’t so perfect after all…
RIP.

Darn. I like this show. Will they at least show all of season one?

After 4 episodes? Why do they bother?

So tired of getting a good show and it getting cancelled. Maybe that’s why the numbers are low the first season. People don’t want to get hooked and be disappointed when they cancel it. They need to bring it back.

Meh… Won’t miss it.

Dammit! I was truly enjoying this show. It was a good escape after dealing with all the nonsense in the world.

I agree with Mecas, who stated ratings of new shows may be low because no one wants to get “invested”, only to have it canceled! I’d rather find out if a show is renewed, then binge watch it.
