ABC has ordered three additional episodes of comedy Kevin (Probably) Saves the World and three extra scripts of sitcom The Mayor, Deadline reveals.
Despite the script order — and perhaps because it’s only a script order — The Mayor continues to hover dangerously over the cancellation graveyard, with the reaper expected to collect in the coming months.
ABC has reflected a bit more faith in Kevin, but the show is far from being of the woods as it chases Season 2.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of both Kevin and The Mayor Season 2 on ABC…

Diane: If you don’t watch it anyway why do you bother whether it’s still on the air? Don’t like it, don’t watch it, it’s that simple. Many other people seem to like it. Are the networks supposed to cancel every show that you don’t like?!
Also, your comment doesn’t have anything to do with the actual article up here.

I really like this show because it is so positive and humorous at time, serious at times, and heartwarming at times. There aren’t many shows on prime time TV that the entire family can enjoy. I wish it had been renewed for another season.

I really like Kevin Probably Saves The World, and I really like the actor Jason Ritter. I rarely have a program I look forward to seeing anymore, but this was one of them. ABC, your programming has slipped the passed 2 years— but this program was not one in that category.. You’re loosing me to CBS.

The Kevin show is the best TV series since it includes the struggles, mistakes, tears of loss and real Love for connecting to God.
An excellent, appropriate definition of God by the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives:
Buddha Nature, God, higher power, etc: Unborn, Uncreated, Unchanging and Undying.
Most likely, not the male figure of the Catholics.
I thoroughly and spiritually enjoy Kevin Probably Saves The World since it’s about the struggles, growth, rewards, dangers and humor of practicing the main purpose and goals of all religions and spiritualities: atheism, Buddhism, Christianities, Druidism, Gurdjieffians, Hinduism, Judaism, Mohammad/Islam, Native American spiritualities, Sufism, Zoroastrians. etc.
The purpose of life is simple: Do your very best towards perfection to help yourself and all others do your individual best in ALL that you do. In trying, sometimes you will reach perfection, miracles.
Take away guns, violence, wars, the rich middleclass, sex, money, power, lying and what’s left of TV and Hollywood, not much..
Most of the movies and TV shows are junk since the majority of Americans junkies want instant entertainment, instant delicious food, instant candidates, instant laughs, instant sex, etc.
KPSTW does not include the additive adrenalin rush of killing and brutal/gory fighting. But It does include some sex which most think is part of Love. The purpose of sex is the holy procreation of the species. The sex that many experience and want is lust. Lust sells entertainment/movies/TV, clothes, watches, jewelry, and cars.
No killing. Drop your judgment of yourself and others. Forgive yourself and others for all the pain that you and others cause: physical, mental, emotional, sexual, psychological and even little white lies that can be fatal or very damaging to yourself and others.
Watch the audiences at comedian roasts or at the academy awards and observe the bored audience in their beautiful costumes. I went to a dinner show with Sammy Davies Junior singing at Tahoe Harrah’s Club. He sang a song and everybody was clapping except me. He finished singing. And as I told my girlfriend that his performance was empty, Sammy apologized to the audience and sang the song again with some spirit.
