Even though I’m tempted to write that “Indian Summers” should go for twice as long as the 5 seasons they have planned, I do know that sometimes even my favorite TV series begins struggling in later seasons. So, I will say that I’m thrilled to await Season 2 and I’m sure it will go onto my “Must Watch” list again this year. I kind of stumbled over the information for this excellent series last summer and after seeing the first episode, I was solidly sold and eagerly awaited each week’s new episode. I’m really pleased to find this information that it will absolutely make Season Two and there are firm plans all the way to Season Five!
If you missed this series during the summer of 2014, I strongly urge you to watch a few episodes this summer and if possible, review the first season. This is a very well done British drama set just before the departure of Great Britain, as a ruling force, in India. It offers an interesting view of personalities on both sides of the departure and shows a few of the problems caused by occupations in other countries.
I’m now looking forward to renewing some of the friendships from last summer and observing how this complicated and complex action will be resolved. Please join me, but you need to bring your own popcorn unless you love turmeric on your fingers and popcorn!
