TLC press release follows:
TLC ORDERS A SECOND SEASON OF “I AM JAZZ,” ABOUT TRANSGENDER TEEN JAZZ JENNINGS AND HER FAMILY
Series picked up for 8 episodes starting in 2016
Los Angeles, CA – The groundbreaking series I AM JAZZ returns to TLC for a second season and will continue to follow the life of 15-year-old Jazz – as she balances school, sports, family, and more – documenting her triumphs and struggles from the perspective of a transgender teen.
The first season had viewers follow Jazz as she faced decisions regarding her health, pursuing her passion for soccer, spending more time with friends, and navigating the dating world.
Returning with Jazz are her parents Greg and Jeanette, who have always supported Jazz. Her siblings, sister Ari, and twin brothers Griffen & Sander, who stand by her side and support Jazz as she continues through her teenage years.
Jazz also devotes her time to being a transgender advocate, sharing her story with people across the country in an effort to educate and inspire others. A co-author of the book I Am Jazz, she was named one of “The 25 Most Influential Teens ” in 2014 and 2015 by Time. Jazz and her parents founded the Transkids Purple Rainbow Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to support transgender youth and their families.
I AM JAZZ is produced for TLC by This is Just a Test.

I am so glad to see this show renewed. It’s one of my favorites with so much inspiration. You and your family renews my hope for humanity. With so much sadness in the world it’s nice to see a show with wonderful people. Bless you all.

Here I was so thankful that TLC had finally come to their senses and took this show off the air. I am going to hound their sponsors until this show gets cancelled once and for all.
This show is totally not relevant!

Wow!!!! Use your energy for things that are really helpful or kind.
This show is relevant, inspiring, beautiful, and it explains to the world, “We are all different, so be kind.”

This show is complete and utter crap. The parents are to blame for the confusion of this child. I look forward to the day when it becomes and adult and we can see the kind of experiment these parents unleashed on the world.
