Homeland is closing in on Season 7 and 8 renewals, Showtime CEO David Nevins has revealed.
Per THR, the network is in deep talks with Fox 21 to renew the series for a seventh and eighth season — both of which will also feature lead Claire Danes and showrunner Alex Gansa.
However, the upcoming sixth season has been pushed from fall 2016 to January 2017, with production starting later this summer.
It’s currently unclear whether Season 8 will be the last in the CIA drama’s run, though for now Season 9 seems possible with Showtime yet to set an expiration date for the series.
