VH1 has axed Hindsight, scrapping the previously announced Season 2 renewal.
The cabler has ruthlessly abandoned plans for Hindsight Season 2, despite renewing the time-travel dramedy earlier this year. Hindsight Season 2 is now officially cancelled.
VH1 explained its decision to cancel Hindsight via statement:
“Scripted series have been a successful part of VH1’s primetime line-up since 2010 and will continue to be in the future. We love Hindsight and couldn’t be more proud of the series. But in this overcrowded and rapidly changing climate, we need to carve out VH1’s distinct place in the scripted marketplace and deliver the biggest audiences possible for our series. As a result, we’re no longer moving forward with a second season of the show. We’re so appreciative of show creator Emily Fox, the cast, and the creative and production teams and look forward to working with them again.”
While Hindsight didn’t see this coming, the show’s cancellation is a reminder that the axe can fall at any time.
It’s certainly the end of the line for Hindsight at VH1, but will it attempt to resurrect elsewhere? It’s unlikely, but stay tuned for any potential developments.

RIP.

This was an amazing show- so tragic! I hope Hulu or Netflix picks it up! Way to good to be abandoned!

I agree. I loved this show so much. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I hope you’re right and someone with a heart and a brain picks it up. I’ll keep my fingers and heartstrings crossed.

UUUGGGHHH!!! Every time I find a show I can get into, it’s cancelled. What’s wrong VH1? Too much heart? Was the acting too good? Not enough drunken girls fighting in the streets? Such a shame. This had great potential.

I know right, this was a great show! Just as shocked as when NBC canceled Trauma. These exciting and ” Man, I have to wait a whole week to see what happens?” kind of shows. But yet you see previews like “I am Jazz” glorify being transgender at such a young age WTF and then teenage pregnancy on “16 and pregnant.” Really? The networks have to be run by a bunch of idiots. If your family was normal, you wouldn’t be on TV telling the whole world what a slut you are and your family being excited about it. Leave TV for fantasy lives and stuff that only happens on tv. Not shows that make you look stupid and it actually be true.
