CBS has ordered an additional episode for Hawaii Five-0 Season 8, taking the order to 25 episodes for the current 2017-18 season.

The 25 episode quota is in-keeping with the previous three seasons.
The expansion could give the writers one final episode to wrap the series up before entering the cancellation graveyard, however, it’s likely a sign of encouragement, with H50 a step closer to Season 9 renewal.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of
Hawaii Five-0 Season 9…

I am glad they’ll be some more episodes. I saw Magnum PI the reboot was picked up and is set to film in Hawaii and I’m guessing they’ll maybe do a 9th season and then cancel and replace with Magnum. I’m so sad that theyre reaching the end of the line. I still love the show, I am kind of hoping that we will get the whole cast for a final season or at least for a final episode. I do really love the show and I’m going to miss it when they do cancel.
