Happy Valley Series 3 could see the UK drama expand from the usual six to eight episodes, Nicola Shindler, founder of show producer RED Productions, revealed to Newsweek:
“Everyone would love it to come back more regularly and everyone would love more episodes—we’d probably go up to eight.”
Asked about the timeline of Series 3, which is on the table but yet to be officially renewed, Shindler admitted it might not air until 2018:
“The answer is, everyone’s committed to it and is happy to do it. But it depends on the stories from Sally, when she’s ready to write it and we won’t move forward with it until she’s [ready]. I don’t think it’ll be before [two years], let’s say that.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of Happy Valley…
