AMC announced today that Halt and Catch Fire has been renewed for a fourth and final season. The critically-acclaimed series will return with 10 new episodes and will continue under the guidance of co-creators and co-showrunners Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers.
“We are so proud of Halt and Catch Fire – a true passion project – and thank the critics and fans who have embraced this unique program,” Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios, said in a statement.
The series, which captures the rise of the PC era in the 1980s, stars Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, Kerry Bishé and Toby Huss as a motley crew of innovators attempting to reinvent the computer world. Season 3 shifted the action from the “Silicon Prairie” of Texas to Silicon Valley, where the video game startup company Mutiny was exposed to the world of venture capitalists and grew into the online retail space.
“It has been our great privilege to watch the world of Halt and Catch Fire expand and mature,” Cantwell and Rogers said. “In this fourth and final season, we are excited to end the show on its own terms and to give our story, these characters, and our fans the conclusion they so richly deserve.”
Halt and Catch Fire‘s two-hour Season 3 finale airs Tuesday 9/8c. Catch up on full episodes of Halt and Catch Fire any time on Apple TV, Roku, the AMC mobile apps and amc.com

Is this renewed for this summer? I can’t find when it is supposed to return.
