Mark Burnett, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Page Feldman and Eric Van Wagenen are executive producers. “The Celebrity Apprentice” is produced and internationally distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM).“GRIMM”: The final season begins Friday, Jan. 6, 8-9 p.m.
Closing out an incredibly successful series run and giving viewers a chance to say goodbye over the last 13 episodes, the sixth and final season of NBC’s drama “Grimm” will begin its last chapter with the battle fans have long been waiting for — Nick versus Capt. Renard.
The series, which reached the 100-episode milestone last season, has long been a fan and critical favorite, with the Los Angeles Times calling it “terrific and trendsetting… ‘Grimm’ has become a beacon of solid narrative and a weekly reminder of why monsters matter.” The New York Times said “Grimm” is “engaging, clever, tense, funny and well-paced, featuring a remarkably appealing cast.”
As for events leading into the final season, the nefarious forces of Black Claw have been silenced and Nick (David Giuntoli) faces an all too familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Now in the seat of power as the mayor elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring the peace.
Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world, and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) faces unsettling identity issues as her former self lurks below the surface.
“Grimm” also stars Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee.
The series was created by David Greenwalt & Jim Kouf and Stephen Carpenter. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner (“Hollywood Game Night,” ”Hot in Cleveland”) serve as executive producers along with Greenwalt and Kouf. “Grimm” is a Universal Television and Hazy Mills production.
“EMERALD CITY”: Friday, Jan. 6, 9-11 p.m. two-hour event; 9-10 p.m. each week following
Swept up into the eye of a tornado, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) is transported to another world — a mystical land where an all-powerful ruler (Vincent D’Onofrio) governs over one kingdom, has outlawed magic, and faces not only the wrath of a growing cauldron of witches but a looming disaster brought on by a mythical force. Epic, romantic and fantastical, “Emerald City” is an empowering tale of a young woman finding her true strength and identity even as she battles to bring a divided world together.
Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu, Mido Hamada, Jordan Loughran, Gerran Howell and Joely Richardson also star. David Schulner, Shaun Cassidy, Josh Friedman and Matthew Arnold serve as executive producers. The series is directed by Tarsem Singh Dhandwar, who also serves as an executive producer. “Emerald City” is a Universal Television production. (NBC)
RIP.
Daniel Shapiro says
Grimm was great but getting stale. Hope they tie it altogether and leave wiggle room for a spin-off.
isaiah gonzalez says
Please, you just don’t see the beauty in the show. I appreciate artwork like this show to cancel it on season 6 is a terrible idea just look at supernatural they wanted to cancel on season 5 but now they have 11 seasons and are coming out with a twelfth and everyone loves it. Art is ever stale only people who have no imagination and are afraid to come out and see the beauty.
Dianna Malone says
We want our Grimm in October me and my family watch Grimm please don’t cancel it
Me and my family going to be mad if Grimm gets canceled please please don’t canceled Grimm
Bring Grimm back pretty please!!!!!
Melodie Bettis says
I was looking forward to the new season, oh well.
Floyd Steiner says
There is a season 6 coming in january……… if thats any help??????????
Alina Rionda says
I think its a mistake that NBC cancels Grimm, such a good show. This cancelling thing will stop people like me, to watch any series, no matter if its great or what ever. I find it outrageous and a discourtesy to end a show just because it doesn’t have enough ratings. If people in charge were more intelligent, they would change a stalling series to another day of the week. Series sometimes get bore, this is normal. Besides, there are places on the internet where you watch those series for free and without commercial adds. Right now I watch around 62 series. Some are at the same time, same day, I watch on TV my favorites and the others, on these channels. Also I am waiting now to watch a series, to make sure they do not cancel , so, if I like it I won’t get flipped on the air because the producers want more ratings. If I am interested on a new series I do not watch it, I wait till it has at least 5 seasons, to make sure the channel won’t cancel it and then I will watch it on the free channels and keep watching afterwards on TV. I have gone through a lot of cancelled shows I loved and I don’t trust any channel anymore
JLBittle says
You are so right. Where do these networks get their info?
Susan says
They only care about money. The 18-49 age group. Funny that it’s that same age group that no longer watches television the way the ratings were calculated for so long!! They’re the ones watching it online or on different mediums! Maybe if they paid more attention to other demographics, they would make more money…and keep everyone happy.
My grandson is going to be so disappointed that Grimm is cancelled!!
pam murphy says
better off just say the hell with live tv any more , just get netflix and other streaming services and to hell with the networks , they show so much reality crap now , people must be very unhappy with their own lives!!! bet they kept all the reality crap.
Marcy Scire says
I agree, It’s awful.. Reality shows suck. Shame on NBC for canceling, it’s so disappointing…
Loved GRIMM…
Deb Elkins says
The New York Times said “Grimm” is “engaging, clever, tense, funny and well-paced, featuring a remarkably appealing cast.”
And yet you still want to go against a large fan base and cancel this excellent program???
I totally agree with Alina Rionda and will not watch any more programs from NBC …..AND I will tell my friends also!!!!!
In these weird times we NEED the fantasy of this program……get it together NBC!
And the only reason GRIMM seemed to stall is there was too much time between programs……here you have a gem of a program and you want to choke it to death…………shame….shame.
GMulcahey says
Agreed. I love Grimm. The only reason to watch tv on Friday!! I’m going to miss all of the Grimm characters.
barry newburg says
Grimm was my favorite show. Boo to NBC for taking it off.
KartofflMuter says
You know how to tell HOW bad the NETWORK screwed up? Count the number of comments the cancellation is getting. 66! And Duck Travesty? Not so much.
Lee Pettit says
Wow hate this news. Why are they meaning the TV people taking off all the good shows. Really hope another channel picks this up.
Deborah Denson says
Agreed!!!!!!!
Deborah Denson says
Isle of Shows such as this the deal with characters that are not the norm and storylines that are very far-fetched. I don’t understand why this show is being cancelled along with so many other great shows gram is one of my all-time favorites. It’s the only thing that kept me going after they cancel Dracula which I also think was a big mistake. MBC what in the hell are you doing??? You keep those or start shows that makes absolutely no sense and cancel the good ones. I will miss the entire cast and watching them fill my screen on Friday nights. You guys really need to get staff who understand what we as TV viewers really want out of a television show!!!
G. Nicholas says
Wow I totally agree with you Deborah. I loved Grimm and never could understand why they didn’t support Dracula. It too was superb.
Rae thomas says
I agree every time a great show is on they take it off for crap.
Keith YokleYokley says
We need to start a petition to get another channel to pick up this fantastic show. The scripts and acting are first class! Outrageous that they cancel such a quality show for mindless reality crap.
Rivka says
Yes I agree with everybody’s comments & all of us being super disappointed in NBC cancelling Grimm when it’s such an excellent show.
Yes lets hope that someone will start a petition for another station to pick it up,, perhaps the CW should, with all it’s other supernatural type shows.
barry newburg says
I agree
Kim davio says
I’m such a Grimm can another network should pick this up.. NBC is stupid got Lettin it go I use 2 watch a few shows on NBC now there Lettin this go i wont watch another .. just hope they don’t butcher the ending like they did castle
darkflame says
I’m a big fan of grimm but they dragged on the main storyline for far too long and i think 6 seasons is a good anount.
I will miss it but all good things come to an end and it’s better to end at the right time than be dragged on for the sake of it like Supernatural.
Michael Frost says
Really hate to see this show end. I think there is still a lot of storyline that they could have further developed, just look at Supernatural. I hope another network decides to pick this up or they make a movie out of it.
Marti says
I loved this show for its unique viewpoint, great acting, and fabulous writing, esp. the interplay with all the characters. Monroe will long remain a favorite character for me! That said, if they are determined to cancel it I at least hope they will try to give us a semi-satisfying ending and not do as so many others have, leaving us hang. Best wishes to all the cast and writers and thanks for the memories!
Ann Owens says
I have never missed a show. Now your cancelling Grimm!! I stopped watching another show that I loved to watch Grimm. I guess I will go back to the other show cause it’s still on. Come on producers give us a break and stop cancelling all the good shows. I pray another network pick it up!!!
Carole says
You betcha! All the mind numbing rubbish like the Kardashians, always gets renewed!
linda howay says
I agree Carole
russell says
fuck nbc go net flks
Danny Stephens says
There are shows that sit on my DVR for weeks and sometimes months before I get around to watching them. Grimm was not one of those shows. It was usually watched within 24 hours. I really like shows where the co-stars shine as bright as the lead actors and Grimm accomplished that with a cast that you wanted to invite into your living room week after week.
That being said, if a network can create a show cheaper to promote the ads that they sell, they will. There is no such animal as viewer loyalty. The only loyalty extended by these networks are to the ad buyers and their shareholders. That’s why we have so many reality type shows stinking up the airways now.
Rick says
Crap. I’m starting to get PTSD from having my favorite shows canceled. I have so many unfinished stories stored somewhere in the back of my brain! It started with Brimstone and Firefly, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier. It’s almost as if the networks check on what shows I like, and then cancel them. It’s particularly hard since TV has started to become so much better – all the money and talent seems to have migrated to TV from the film industry, and of course the TV series format is so much better for longer and more complicated stories. This makes it even harder to lose a series in which Ihave invested attention and thought. Argh…
Cthoney says
NBC is canceling a good series. The best in a long time. I looked forward to Friday nights. But I bet the Kardashians are renewed….such bull!!
Cynthia says
I know, it’s so ridiculous
Polly says
You Finley get a show that I like then you say nobody watches it that’s a bunch of bull (S) !!!!!!!!i would spell the rest but you know what I mean . You keep that kardashians crap and a few other shows that is not worth naming and you cancel a dam good show well I will not be watching channel NBC any more thanks for spoiling my day
Dianne Jenkins says
My favorite show! Couldn’t wait until Friday to watch it. Please do not cancel this show !!!!!!
Kathy says
I love Grimm! Guess I’ll watch
Cable/dish channels. There’s no other reason to watch NBC on FRI.
ross macleod says
this is a disgrace grimm was a great series in some way the episodes were just a good as supernatural and i love supernatural i think they are making a big mistake i would love to get a petition going to save this great show
JLBittle says
I would sign it in a heartbeat. Try Change.org to start a petition.
Diane Brassington says
I love Grimm to I’m unhappy that have cancelled it .it was one of my favourite shows to please renew
barry newburg says
Me too!!!
Deb Elkins says
I would sign it too!!!
Robert says
I’m with you JLBittle, let’s ALL head over to change.org and sign-up. Re-new GRIMM. SAVE GRIMM from those idiots at NBC!!!!!
cassandra says
Please do not cancel Grimm. This is a great show. The writing and story lines were excellent. The actors were excellent, the make-up is out of this world. This is a big mistake. I believe maybe changing the day of the week, like to a Monday night will increase the ratings. Please do not cancel Grimm.
Frank says
Sad to see a good show go. The story was getting off track but that could have been revamped. It was worth saving. so much CRAP on TV why let something fun with great charactors go???
Claudia says
Typical…Grimm was just a fun entertaining series. We have become “friends” of the fabulous cast. I despise all these reality shows and it seems that writers are having problems coming up with fresh new ideas so they need to reinvent former series and movies. Hopen Netflix will pick it up. I am new to Netflix but enjoy it much more than the BIG prime time channels. Goodbye NBC. You failed again.
Lee Sheldon says
Agree
Jen says
Grimm currently 7.8 at IMDB.
Kardash. currently 2.8 at IMDB, and has been at that or lower *for years*, but seems to be immortal for renewals!
Bizarro management seems to be in charge!
Grim about Grimm says
Well, what a way to start my day. Thank you NBC for ripping out my heart, throwing it onto the ground and then smooshing it with your shoe till nothing remains. Hopefully Netflix or anyone else who recognises a great show when they see one, will pick Grimm up instead. Fingers crossed!
Earl F Biggs says
Why, Why, Why. My favorite show. The only one I watched every Friday. Bring it back please!!!!
JLBittle says
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Do not cancel Grimm. We watched it every Friday. Please renew it. Why on earth would you cancel a show that seemed to be doing so good?
Janet Gough says
Too many series like Grimm are being cancelled and too many so called reality TV shows are taking their place. People who watch stuff like Grimm have seen this programm right from the first series. Sure fire way to loose viewers, same goes for Sleepy Hollow etc. Viewers in UK sad to see it go, please think again
Meggi says
Really love Grimm and was eagerly awaiting new season.
Rivka says
How could you NBC cancel this great show… I’m upset to tears right now learning that Grimm got the axe.
But it’s ok that other shows are going into their 12th season like Supernatural & Criminal Minds & yet they said that Supernatural will go on for years as long as the “boys” want to still be in the series, so koodos to the CW network for that.
A little while back I think it was on ET & they were interviewing “Juliette” Bitsy & she said there are a ton of Grimm stories to tell for many many years to come.
Thanks for making my day NBC……….NOT@!!!!!!! Please reconsider this dicision or another network to pick it up? Looking at you CW or whomever to take over this great show.
Helen says
Please cancel The Celebrity apprentice. Who actually watches this stupid grappling of has beens anyway. It is just another cheap way for Trump to get people to do something for free.
Jen says
Stay *focused*, Helen! You seem to be lost.
This is about Grimm.
Paul says
You suck!!!! I love that show an watch the reruns every morning on TNT this is my 3rd time watching all of them. I’vebeen waiting all summer to see who Nick ends up with and if he chooses to fight the resistance”s or join? Seems like they cancelle the best shows an keep the crappy ones, I still can’t believe they cancelled Constantine, maybe CW will continue with the Grimm
rick says
of course the advertisers cater to the 18-49 group…they are so vapid that a drama series is too complicated for them to understand…but reality shows don’t require thinking, only a smart phone that they can tweet their friends about….of course these 18-49 morons a the only people stupid enough to waste $700 on a phone.
Sue says
Actually, about half of them are still living with their parents, with mediocre jobs, and their parents are the ones buying them the $700. phones.
Also, you should lie about where you fit in demographics, whenever possible
Tony Parone says
The management of these networks looks at profits only and not the public that subscribes, directly or through the purchase of advertised products. I don’t know if DVR downloads are part & parcel of the ratings but many viewers ‘tape’ shows for later viewing.
Sure the network management has the ‘power’ but when they discontinue a quality show, in all artistic aspects, like Grimm they automatically alienate the viewers who may look to other venues for entertainment thereby lowering a network’s overall ratings. Then what would they do?
Clov4 says
i hate u for the cancelation of this show
Millie bentley says
There is another one I just seeing that pretty little wires which is fine that once ran it’s course you know it’s kind a needed to but I also read that DV are not deviou there is another one I just seeing that pretty little wires which is fine that once ran it’s course you know it’s kind a needed to but I also read that Devious maids is cancelling I am getting so sick and tired of it I’m about ready just to know why just TV anymore and throw my damn TV out and get it because you guys keep taking is good shows up and put in the stupid ass shows on that a ridiculous who cares about what they could dashing to doing I don’t give a shit a lot of people don’t care who cares about what Tori spelling is doing or any of these other movie stars I really don’t care And these reality shows and stupid shows where they are doing stupid things to win money or anything like that it’s idiotic and stupid but you guys take off the good shows and put on stupidity shows I think you need to get your heads out of your ass and keep the good shows
Lee Sheldon says
Agree
Lee Sheldon says
I have been waiting and looking forward to the fall season of Grimm, one of the best most entertaining shows on tv.How could this show be canceled? I will have to boycott this network for this bad decision. Hopefully the network and producers Wil reconsider or it will go to a different network.love, love love this show and truly dissapointed and brokenhearted.
Connie Coronado says
Morons for cancelling this show! I am steadily watching TV shoes less and less for this very reason, whenever you come up with something really good, you cancel. You did the same with Constantine. I can’t believe the garbage you have out there and you’re canceling grimm?!?! Grrrr!
Floyd Steiner says
I am a big fan of grimm the tv execs never fail to disappoint us viewers.
I am among many who hope the decision is reversed or another network
picks up the show……………….
Christy Abercrombie says
So disappointed! I just can’t stand “reality”tv shows and most of the crap sit com’s. I really enjoyed Grimm – my husband, son and I watched every week since the beginning. Please renew or let another network get it! We are have so little to watch that’s enjoyable as it is. … and my lord – Celebrity Apprentice?? Haven’t we heard enough of someone who can’t speak well being condescending?
Wanda Laroche says
Why cancel a great show!!! It still has so many story lines and possibilities!
Pete says
I suppose it had to happen… the script was getting to the point where the it was getting ridiculous… the usual crime related fairy tale demons were getting kinda repetitive and they had to go & build something worldwide conspiracy!!! As in all shows when the usual or normal stories were getting stale…
Mary says
I don’t want this show cancelled. It’s a great show with so many possibilities. I will miss Monroe. He was my fav character.
KartofflMuter says
I loved Monroe and his wife. She had the herb shop and he had his watch repair business and his collection of antique clocks. It was lovely and interesting and unique.
Alina Rionda says
All who want to see Grimm continue, go to Netflix.com, then on the bottom where it says Help Center, click help center, then click How does Netflix license TV shows and movies? After all the question that appear, you will see below: Have a suggestion for a TV show or movie? See Suggest TV shows or movies. Click suggest a movie or TV show and write Grimm on the next page that comes out. It has 3 lines for suggestion. I wrote Grimm on the 3 of them. Lets hope Netflix picks it up.
Jackie pittman says
I want to keep Grimm on TV. It’s a good show and I don’t think it should end. People want more than reality and comedy. Grimm is awesome. Please keep it!!!!
shirley george says
I am so sick of shows that I love being cancelled. Grimm and Blue Bloods is the only reason I watch tv on Fridays. I have loved this show from the very beginning and still love it. you show recheck your thinking about cancelling this show.
shirley george says
Shirley says:
I hate to even get interested in a show because they get cancelled. take some of these idiotic shows off and keep the good ones like Grimm on.
Darnise Nelson says
LOVE LOVE LOVE GRIMM THE CONCEPT OF THE SHOW IS SO UNIQUE, I JUST WISH IT WAS ON ANOTHER NETWORK LIKE WBDC I BELIEVE GRIMM WOULD HAVE DONE WAYYYYY BETTER ON ANOTHER NETWORK! CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE A GRIMM/WINCHESTER(SUPERNATURAL) CROSSOVER THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN EPIC!!!!!! THEY ALWAYS GET RID OF GOOD SHOWS FOR DUMB CRAP! I’M NOT WATCHING NBC ANYMORE NOW THAT GRIMM IS GONE NO NEED TO ,PLUS I’M NOT SUPPORTING THAT NETWORK ANYMORE! !!!!!
Mike Woessner says
I hope another network will pick up Grimm, NBC is crazy for letting this show go away, its a fun , entertaining show and has a big following of fans. I have no clue what the NBC folks are thinking.Keep the show going!!!
Kilted Savage says
I have to laugh at the idiots, the mentally challenged, imbecilic mental pygmies at NBC! The network is a bottom feeder, barely above ABC in regards to programming or Nielson ratings for viewership and they have is gem of a show that does pretty decent on Friday nights. Fridays are killer for seasons and NBC has attracted and held onto fans with Grimm, but now we have an idiot or a group of idiots that are pulling the plug??? NBC might just become the bottom of the pile, relying on the dying reality TV genre and the network deserves exactly that.
Let’s hope the series finds a new life somewhere else and let’s hope NBC terminates the employment of the idiot or idiots responsible for this stupidity.
Riv says
Sooooooo many of us do NOT want to see Grimm cancelled….I love this supernatural show, one of my favs along with Supernatural that keeps getting renewed!!!
gee whiz only 6 seasons but other shows get way more seasons & stupid shows at that keep getting renewed, reality shows yuck, Big Bang etc that I don’t watch.
Grimm has so many more stories they can tell.
Maybe the CW network will pick up this excellent show???? PLEASE
Naomi Calabrese says
Please do not cancel this show. Grimm is one of the best shows and the cast terrific. If you care about the viewers you will bring it back.
