Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life Season 2 may be cancelled at Netflix, but creator Amy Sherman-Palladino isn’t closing the door forever on the much-touted second revival.
Speaking to RadioTimes, Sherman-Palladino says she has the “freedom” to make another sequel even if her new Amazon series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (already renewed for Season 2), is an ongoing success:
“We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon [and new series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel] saying that if we ever want to do [more Gilmore Girls], if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it.
She added:
“So it would just have to be the right circumstances, and that we’re all sort of in the same drunken mood together to go repaint Stars Hollow again. Because we had to repaint Stars Hollow, and we’ll have to repaint it again. But it’s definitely possible. We’ll have to repaint” – that’s “we WILL”.
Do you want another Gilmore Girls revival? Should Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life remain in the cancellation graveyard?
Stay tuned as we keep watch over the revival escape hatch…
