“Family Ties,” the ’80s NBC sitcom that launched the career of Michael J. Fox, will be adapted into a stage play under the tutelage of the Araca Group, the company that is one of the producers of “Wicked.”
Playwright Daniel Goldstein will adapt the property, with the play set to debut at the Human Race Theater in Dayton, Ohio, in a nod to the state in which the TV show is set. The production, produced under license from CBS Consumer Products, will bow at Human Race in June after which the script will be published and made available for licensing by producing organizations around the world.
