The Exorcist is already dead to the cancellation reaper, but FOX chief Dana Walden refuses to rule out a second season of the horror series, or baseball drama Pitch, telling Deadline “both are very much in the conversation”:
“Not sure. Exorcist actually improved our time period on Friday night by about 35% and it’s an interesting opportunity.
Of the two, Walden places more weight on Pitch‘s survival discussions:
[The Exorcist is] never going to be a big ratings winner because of the serialized nature but I thought the show was really good and it was very consistent. Pitch? Bigger conversation.”
Raising the stakes, both Exorcist and Pitch have declared Season 2 plans.
Are Exorcist and Pitch in a face-off for the same renewal spot? Or are both shows already long dead? Stay tuned…

Why do good TV shows get cancelled but we all get stuck with fricken crap like the kardashians and christley bullshit reality TV? People can’t actually be as stupid as I think they are

I always wondered the same thing. Do we really need 34 seasons of Survivor or 21 of the Bachelor?! All networks seem to cancel good scripted shows and keep the dumbest reality shows
