CASTLE CANCELLED – NO SEASON 9
All things must end. It has been an honor working with the men and women of Castle. I am truly amazed at what we’ve done. Thank you all.

Dear Fans,
In whatever project I do next, loudly notice how unlike Castle and fresh and versatile I am. Thanks.— Nathan Fillion (@NathanFillion) May 13, 2016
Castle Cancellation – Stana Katic Pens Farewell Letter To Fans
Albert Marks says
Not a big fan of NF but truly loved his work in season 1-6. Somewhere in the latter part of that time frame he apparently began to believe that he was not being respected for his work. I can’t say if that was true(didn’t seem so to me) or he was becoming paranoid. As an artist I think he would have been perfectly justified in walking away from the show. Why he chose to hang on and participate in what was a bad copy of the show in seasons 7-8, will likely never be known. Sure wish someone from the cast would step up and spill the beans. I could feel a lot more satisfied if there was some sort of logic to the demise of a once great series. I’ll probably be waiting a loooooong time.

Not sure what you are referring too. NF was always great though I think they lost their way somewhat in the storyline. That was the writers & others behind the scene. But through all the years, I enjoyed the light hearted clean fun comedy they did.
I’m really sad to see it go because it was a great show!

Sad that the show had to go, however I felt it coming after the studio fired Stana and Tamala. And even if it didn’t get cancelled it would have never been the same as it was. Also the show did start to go a bit downhill in this season or at least that it what I think, don’t get me wrong it started great but then this whole thing with locksat and everything started being too much. I would say that the first few shows were actually better than these ones so I do understand the decision they made.
All in all, it is sad to see a show like Castle, of which I was a faithful viewer from the minute I saw the first episode to go. It was a wonderful eight years. Hopefully there will be something just as good taking it’s place this fall.
