DirecTV has cancelled Billy & Billie after one season. There will not be a second season of the romantic comedy series, the network has confirmed.
UPDATE: A rep for Billy & Billie series creator Neil LaBute has informed us that the series was not “cancelled,” rather ‘discontinued’ due to cast/creative scheduling/availability issues.
With this in mind, LaBute scripted and directed a ‘series finale’ episode titled “Incesticide” providing viewers some sense of where the characters and storylines were ultimately heading.
This episode is available to watch on the Audience network along with the first and only season of the series.
However, as the series was shuttered before its natural or pre-stated end point (possibly due to contractual issues), Billy & Billie still goes down as a cancelled series.
RIP.

Your story is inaccurate. “Billy & Billie” was not cancelled but was unable to go forward due to cast and other creative personnel being unavailable. Knowing this, it’s creator (Neil LaBute) wrote and directed a final episode titled “incesticide” that gives viewers some idea of where the characters and storylines were ultimately going. This episode is also available on the Audience network along with the first season of the show. Hope that helps to clarify what happened to “Billy & Billie.”

I believe this was the best new series of 2015 and we will never have the opportunity to see the story unfold. I was patiently waiting to hear anything regarding this show. Its really quite unfortunate.

This sucks. I just watched all of the first season just to realize there would not be a second. It doesn’t matter what the reasons were, it’s not going to “return” 🙁
