Big Little Lies Season Two cancelled? Director Jean-Marc Vallee has rejected the idea of continuing the HBO miniseries into a second season, despite actress Reese Witherspoon being up for more, per THR:
The detective doesn’t want to let go and that’s how we finish that. And we think, “Did they do the right thing? What will happen?” Now it’s up to the audience and their imagination to figure out. To do a season two, I’m not for it. Let’s move on and do something else! If there’s an opportunity to reunite with Reese, Nicole and these characters of course, I’ll be a part of it, but Big Little Lies One is a one-time deal. Big Little Lies Two? Nah. The end is for the audience to talk about. Imagine what you want to imagine and that’s it. We won’t give you a season two because it’s so good like this. Why spoil it?
Speaking to Vulture, he added:
If we do a season two, we’ll break that beautiful thing and spoil it. I loved it. It’s a great show, and I’m so happy and excited to have been the chosen one to do this.
Would YOU like to see Big Little Lies Season 2, or should it forever remain a one-and-done miniseries?

What the heck? You have the audience watching and looking forward to the next episode! Then, oh, let’s cancel it and leave them to their imagination? Lame. At least Grimm fans got an amazing ending. What? Not up to the challenge? What a let down. What a waste of a great casting opportunity.

It is monotinous and boring and at times a little cobfusing…I think by the bad ratings, the director realised the DEATH Knell might be on its; way….Nicole Kidman was probably the reason why many continued watching it…JMO.

So they are going to end season one with no answers, just our imagination to work out what happened? Well I am glad I read that, as I am stopping watching it right now. So utterly fed up with series being cancelled with no actual end to them. So bye bye Little Big Lies … wont be finishing season 1.
