Better Call Saul Season 4 Cancelled? With AMC yet to announce a renewal, co-creator Peter Gould has warned that the third season finale would represent an unplanned and “provocative ending,” should the Breaking Bad spinoff series not move forward into a fourth season.
Speaking to Uproxx, Gould admits that while Better Call Saul is geared towards a fourth season (and, per insiders, likey to be renewed), fans should always be worried by the specter of cancellation:
They should always be worried in television… AMC and Sony have been very good to us. I believe they will continue to be, but it’s show business. There’s nothing that’s certain. You asked me how many seasons we have left; hopefully, it’s a creative decision to end the show, and not an economic one. So I don’t want to take anything for granted. I just feel lucky that we’ve done three seasons. I sure hope we get to do more.
As for how long Better Call Saul could organically run, Gould notes that the finish line is beginning to materialize in the distance, suggesting a four or five season run:
Yes. The writers room has been closed for quite a while now. We all had lunch together just a couple of weeks ago, and that was one of the main questions we were asking ourselves: How much story is there? I think we’re getting a better idea. I will say I think this show has a definitely limit to it. It’s a story with a beginning and a middle and a definite end. I have to say, I would rather have it end too soon than go on too long. It’s the old showbiz adage: “Leave them wanting more.” I would rather have people wish there had been more seasons than them going, “Oh, is that still on?”
Will Better Call Saul Season 4 be cancelled or renewed? How long will the series last if it goes beyond Season 3? Stay tuned as all is revealed…

they can’t cancel the best show since Breaking Bad, there’s MANY seasons’ worth of potential stories here! Saul didn’t become Saul in BB overnight, in my mind he was entangled in all SORTS of “business” when he and Walter White crossed paths. I was hoping for at least six seasons!

I have gotten where I really hate to get interested in any show because when I do it gets cancel. I really like breaking bad and this was the perfect show to watch. It gave breaking bad a back ground we never had. Please don’t cancel

So true, Mai. I think there is much more background to expand on. This is one of the better shows on TV and shouldn’t end this soon.

Please do not cancel this show writers get in there and do what needs to be done to continue this wonderful series please.
