History has cancelled America Unearthed after three seasons. The network has decided not to move forward with Season 4, RenewCancelTV has confirmed.
America Unearthed aired on the now defunct H2 channel, which was replaced by Vice.
Series host Scott Wolter opened up on the show’s demise, noting that History opted against moving America Unearthed to its maiden channel, preferring to bury the series altogether.
@JrMarmero @OctoberFilms @More2History @HISTORY America Unearthed isn't coming back. H2 was sold and History doesn't want it.

@Khaleesi_Evi It's OK, History as it is today isn't a good fit for AU. I appreciate the opportunity they gave me, but we're not done yet.

That show was garbage. Half the information provided was completely wrong. History Channel is putting out a lot of crap.

Very disappointed. A real gem amongst a sea of garbage. I’ve enjoyed all 3 seasons and was patiently waiting for the 4th. Literally no reason to have cable television anymore as there is nothing worth watching now.

What is going on? ? Why would this show get cancelled? History channel, I have really enjoyed watching the shows that really mean something to me and not just some ignorant reality show. I thought this show was exellent and have been checking the Web for the status of this show hoping that they were going to say, “season 4 premier date” but obviously this channel is getting just as ridiculous as the big 4 networks and making really bad decisions on which show stays or goes. You guys should give this show another chance!!

Educational and interesting. Hard to find the two combinations together. So much to learn, the Great Copper Heist, a really ominous look into the past and the possible truth that the ancients knew about our mineral wealth. So much to learn if true. The whole series was worth the effort. Why was it really cancelled?
