The Walking Dead SEASON 50?
The zombie drama is already renewed for Season 9, but despite recent signs of age, AMC chief Josh Sapan suggests the show could survive for 30, 40 or even 50 years.
Per TVLine, Sapan reckons The Walking Dead could evade the cancellation reaper for half a century:
“The use of the word ‘franchise,’ we don’t take lightly. It’s not a sloppy or casual word. We’ve studied the best. Some have been around 30, 40, 50 years. We have a chance for a lot of life in the franchise.”
How many seasons do you think The Walking Dead should last? Would you stick with the show into the 2060s? Has the show already moved beyond its sell by date?
Stay tuned as we continually monitor the survival status of The Walking Dead…

I “loved” TWD but it’s time for it to end. It should have already ended a season or two ago. It was great but they are dragging it out – there’s such a thing as going out when your on top.
Joseph Bongiorno says
TWD has been on a steady and steep decline since Season 3. It’s formulaic, repetitive, exploitative, and pointless. This current season has no story, just a dragged out a battle with characters that have been so completely altered by the “writers” as to make them as ugly and unlikeable as the antagonists. TWD has not only jumped the shark, it’s jumped the undead corpse of the shark. End it already!

People expect the characters to rule everything they face, which is not a realistic expectation. I enjoy the fact that the writers have broken the characters down because it inevitably brings about a time when the characters will build themselves back up. It’s realistic and appreciated. True fans will stick with the show for however long they gift it to us! It is by far one of the best shows out there.
