When you look towards ending shows, do you want to do a set number of years? Or do you want to write for these shows as long as the studio and network will let you?
I would love to keep telling stories in these worlds for as long as possible, as long the people who help me tell the stories want to do it. In that category are the actors who bring these characters to life, as the writers who have a point of view on how to tell the stories, as the studio and the network who have to write a check to do so. It’s a big group decision, frankly, and it’s fascinating; the behind-the-scenes of it all is so interesting. When you get to a show that has run this long, you get to a group of people who dig in to their desire to keep doing it — it’s wonderful. We shall see.

At the beginning I love them both and the characters a lot more. But know I still love the characters but the series not much. Vampires with Elena’s sleeping? Why? Kill her already, I don’t like that she had a relation with the 2 brothers. And the Originals I love the siblings but I hate Hailey because she wants to keep the brothers apart and it is not fair. So, I think that the writers lose the idea on both series.

absolutely love both shows. can not wait for the next weeks episode. I do agree that the Elena character needs to be wrapped up so Damon can get another love interest. Hopefully it would turn out as interesting if not more than Elena. They can’t keep her asleep forever because the actress (Nina Dobrev) left the show.

I don’t think they need to kill Elena to “let Demon have another love interest” The show is going to end next year, so deciding to just put her in sleep was a very clever way to give Damon a happy end after all. There is something bittersweet in Elena’s faith and I love it.
