Fox has renewed The Simpsons for two more seasons, taking the long-running animated series through Seasons 27 and 28, EW reports.
Seasons 27 and 28 will each consist of 22 episodes, bringing Homer and family’s tally up to a cow-sized 625 episodes.
The two-season deal was sealed just in time to ensure there will be no delay in the airing schedule for next season, as the show already has seven holdover episodes in reserve, with each episode taking roughly six months to produce.
