Thank god BBC & BBC America have seen the light and are going to make the second season of this fantastic show. I must admit i half expected them to cancel it just like FX did with The Bastard Executioner (which i thought was great show too) and so many others which i could mention but enough said.
Leslie says
Totally agree with you.

Thank you so much for bringing this show back for a second season. I just finished season 1 literally one minute ago and have that wonderful yet sad feeling of it being over for right now . I cant wait for season 2 . This is coming from someone who will buy a season of a show on Amazon TV to show support. Hopefully more people do the same so that we can keep being entertained by wonderful shows like this.

What a great story . Unbelievably fantastic characters all of the story lines woven together some sad moments . Some joyous moments. Is this series incorporate so many great attributes loyalty, friendship, conflict, safe, indecision, redemption. The only thing I absolutely hated was when leofric died.
Barb says
Same here !

Never have I wanted a year to go so quick just to see a programme. I have felt quite depressed since season 1 ended. The only way I coped was to download a picture of Uhtred – Alexander Dreymon as the wall paper on my phone. The show has inspired me to read the books and it makes a change to have a little knowledge of a different timeline. Great story and great cast of actors. Wish I was one of Uhtreds leading ladies. Wow

Great news!! I really enjoyed this show on many levels: acting, romance, bromance, historical grounding, great set pieces + locations, music, everything. Not so many history shows + films out there, especially not for this period, so this was great. Will also probably read the books now… Thanks for the news! 🙂
Graham says
Totally agree with all the previous comments. Particularly impressed with how close the series stayed to the Bernard Cornwell books. Cannot wait for series 2
Herb Asher says
