The Ellen DeGeneres Show has landed an early three-year renewal with 10 NBC-owned stations, keeping the host chatting through Season 17.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show had already been renewed through Season 14, which ran through the 2016-17 season.
However the additional renewal means DeGeneres will continue serving daytime through to the 2019-20 season.
Valari Staab, president of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, said of the latest renewal:
“For more than a decade, ‘Ellen’ has anchored the daytime lineups of the NBC-owned stations, offering our viewers a great afternoon show, delivering a strong lead in for our early evening newscasts and helping to launch new hits.
The renewal comes as The Meredith Vieira Show officially gets the axe after two seasons.
