Supernatural exec producer Andrew Dabb has suggested (in jest) the CW drama will outlive The Walking Dead, leaving the door open for Jeffrey Dean Morgan to reprise his role as John Winchester in ‘Season 20’, per TVLine:
“I don’t really worry about that because by the time he comes back, I’m sure [Supernatural] will have been on for 20 seasons at that point, and The Walking Dead will be long over, Jeffrey’s an amazing actor… He plays such a great bad guy. But at the same time… if you give him really good material, he can go back to being someone we know and love and someone we can empathize with.
“I have full faith in him as an actor, and I’m excited to see [him return as John] if it ever comes to pass.”
Supernatural and The Walking Dead are currently two of the safest shows on TV, though the former may end things on its own terms sooner or later.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the survival status of both SPN and The Walking Dead…

Since they have now brought back Mrs. Winchester, I think it would be great to see John brought back also I think it would be great to see them as a full family again.
