The renewal gods have yet to grant Preacher a second season, but showrunner Sam Catlin has teased plans to expand the AMC drama in Season 2 and beyond, ala Breaking Bad, per THR:
“In season two [of Breaking Bad], we told the story of the [..] crash. Preacher lends itself to that kind of storytelling. It’s a way of expanding the universe, especially because season one is going to be the most contained of all the seasons. It’s a way of telling the audience that this isn’t just about a small town in West Texas. It’s about the entire world.”
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of Preacher Season 2…
Lisa McAllister says
Preacher is a great show! I would love to see it go to a second season, often times I think shows are pulled to fast, but Preacher is great!

I’m a bit apprehensive – I like The Preacher so much that I’m convinced it will be canceled. I’ll be very happy if it is allowed to continue.
A Man In MGTOW says
Show it’s utter crap and rightly so it already lost 35% ratings as of episode 4. Seth “Cuck” Rogen didn’t respect source material’s story, characters, humor or tone of Garth Ennis masterpiece. I truly hope there is no intent in mainstream media ( Netflix or Hulu migth be exceptions ) to adapt other Ennis masterpieces like “Danny Wormwood” , “The Pro” or “The Boys”.
