CBS has yet to confirm the status of NCIS: Los Angeles beyond its current seventh season, but executive producer Shane Brennan has potentially hinted towards Season 8.
Speaking to EW, Brennan confirms that while Agent G. Callen’s identity will be revealed in a February 2016 episode, his story is “just beginning,” suggesting more seasons are already in his plans:
After seven years and 159 episodes of searching and coming up empty, Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) will finally learn what the G in his name stands for, EW has learned exclusively.
“It was always my intention to reveal Callen’s identity before the series ended. We’ve had a lot of fun finding out who Callen is, and from where he came. I wanted the audience to have the opportunity to enjoy that moment. And while he’s now discovered his identity, Callen’s odyssey isn’t over. In many ways, it’s just beginning.”
