Major cancellation? Major Crimes is already renewed for Season 6, but series creator James Duff admits the move to Wednesday nights could “be a big problem” for the series moving forward, per TVLine:
“This is not the night I would have picked, and this is not the time of year that I would have picked to come back on.
What I’m told is that the live numbers are no longer important [versus Live+7 DVR playback, etc]. I do believe that we have some experience in locating our viewers, and letting them know where we are. [..]
But we are very actively trying to get the message out to people [about Major Crimes’ Wednesday shift]. I do hope that Wednesday night at 9 doesn’t end up being a big problem for us.”
Major Crimes Season 5B premieres Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017.
Major Crimes Season 6 is slated to premiere summer 2017. Will it be the last in the series? Stay tuned…

What is wrong with the network brass!!! Major Crimes is a great show & it’s done well for you so why insist on making moves to mess with its success? It makes no sense just like cancelling Rizzoli & Isles; another great show. It’s no wonder people are moving to services like Netflix, Hulu, etc. because you idiots slap a show on & yank it before it can even get a fan base & then you take a successful show & move its day/time slot around till you destroy its success. Rather than be loyal to your fans, you listen to the critics who don’t know a good show when they see it.
So I’m posting on Facebook hoping to get the word out. But still I say, “Why do you mess with a good thing!”
